Monthly Devlog: August 29th

Alrighty! With August ending soon i figured i should post some progress, this time featuring screenshots! Had to eventually figure how to...
As mentioned in the last devlog, Specials and weapons will finally be getting some levels, they are represented by green bars filling the rectangle spaces under the equipment you are leveling in question.
Chrysallis weapons will be getting unique variants for both characters, take these two from the prototype as example!
Two new items will be joining the facility shop, these have the unique mechanic of not triggering any cooldowns, they can even be used while a cooldown is currently active!
Here's a small tease from the new place we'll be exploring this update! It includes a new shop run by a new character that will be introduced here, he'll exchange a new currency, Tokens, for some stronger than usual items, don't let these totally hard earned 200 tokens in the picture fool you! They are quite the rare drops.
Speaking of characters, there are of course new enemies being introduced as well, some even lending you a hand at progressing, hope you look forward to meeting these foes, and even learning something from them! They'll now have their own gallery entries, which will include some stories and interesting facts!
As mentioned in the last devlog, i'll be introducing some side quests as i'm starting to experiment with that kind of progression, you'll be able to unlock some goodies as well as some funnies, hope you don't mind doing some cleaning work, it'll be worth it, i promise!
Now, i'd like adding some more here, but this month was actually spent on reworking a lot of the code, mostly to get the place shown at the new shop running well, as my potato struggled to run it a bit, i've gotten it to a spot where it runs smoothly, thank goodness!
I'm looking forward to showing all this off in action when i release this build, though like i said, as this month was spent on reworking my prototype code, it'll take a bit longer to come out, but i hope what is shown here is enough to satisfy some of the waiting until the next devlog, i'm looking forward to what i manage to get done next month!
